Events & Fitness Operations Assistant
London’s best workspace, The Ministry, is seeking an enthusiastic Events and Fitness Operations Assistant to join our growing team.
In this role, you’ll report to our Event and Partnerships Manager and play a key role in ensuring our daily event activities run smoothly.
You will coordinate transportation, manage inventory, and make sure all event materials are on-site, becoming the go-to person for seamless execution. Anticipating needs and tackling logistical issues with confidence will be second nature to you.
You will work closely with vendors, suppliers, and key stakeholders, ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services through clear and consistent communication. Your proactive approach will help you manage relationships and address any supplier-related challenges that come your way.
You will handle logistics effortlessly, ensuring our events stay on schedule and run without a hitch. Your quick thinking and confidence will be crucial in handling any unexpected situations.
You should be used to planning and coordinating event details like scheduling, and collaborating with speakers, entertainers, and vendors. Your approachable nature and problem-solving skills will make everyone feel welcome and at ease.
Additionally, you’ll assist in monitoring the event budget, tracking expenses, processing bills promptly, and adhering to financial constraints. Your keen eye for detail and organisational skills will be vital in this aspect.
You will manage guest lists, and invitations, and ensure all attendees have an exceptional experience.
ABOUT US
Ministry of Sound opened in 1991 in a disused bus garage in a forgotten corner of South London. It was the first nightclub in the UK to have a 24-hour licence, didn’t serve alcohol and featured an earth-shaking sound system in a specially constructed dance box.
We went on to become the world’s largest independent record company, now with Sony, and stage giant dance events, including one for over 50,000 people at the O2 during the millennium.
We were pioneers in electronic music and still have a history of taking risks, innovation, and colourful and creative marketing.
Thirty years later we opened The Ministry, a workspace run as a member’s club, in a 50,000 sq. ft Victorian warehouse in SE1.
The design is relaxed but functional with a bar, opening windows, an outside courtyard and plenty of space to sit, relax, work and socialise – everything you wouldn’t expect to find in a standard office.
There’s great home-cooked F&B, a state-of-the-art gym and fitness studio with daily classes, together with a cultural and business events programme.
As a business, we don’t take ourselves too seriously, and like to laugh and have fun, but we have high standards, relentless attention to detail and the continuous improvement of our product, and we work hard as a team.
