In March 2019, Wild at Heart Foundation invited guests to join them for an exclusive evening of fine art and fundraising at Ministry Venues – Borough, titled ‘One Night Only’. The unique event offered attendees the chance to purchase pieces by celebrated artists, to raise funds for their charity –‘to compassionately reduce the world’s 600 million stray dog problems through a spaying and neutering initiative, global education programmes and re-homing.

INTRODUCTION

In this case study, we present the remarkable success story of a unique dog charity event hosted at a Ministry Venues - Borough within The White Space. The objective of the event was to raise funds for a noble cause while showcasing and selling exquisite artwork.

The in-house events team played a crucial role in curating and organising the event, ensuring a seamless experience for guests, and enhancing the ambiance with stunning floral arrangements and novel features like a flower dog. Additionally, the event offered a delightful reception experience with specially crafted cocktails, technologically advanced facilities, and a dog-friendly atmosphere.

BACKGROUND

Our client, a renowned charity organisation, sought to host a high-profile fundraising event to support their philanthropic endeavors. They envisioned an art exhibition and sale that would not only highlight talented artists but also create an immersive experience for attendees to maximise contributions to their cause. After careful consideration, they selected a Ministry Venues - borough, which provided an ideal blank canvas for the event's theme and decorations.

EVENT PLANNING AND EXECUTION 

The in-house events team played a pivotal role in transforming the venue into an enchanting art gallery. We meticulously installed art exhibition rails to display the artwork professionally, ensuring the pieces were showcased optimally to captivate the attendees. The team worked closely with artists and curators to create a diverse and appealing collection of art, making the exhibition an alluring centerpiece of the event.

Handling logistics efficiently was crucial to the event's success. The events team expertly managed the insurance and transportation of the valuable artwork, guaranteeing its safety and security throughout the entire process. Our attention to detail and organisational prowess ensured a seamless execution, mitigating potential risks and uncertainties.

To elevate the venue's atmosphere, we adorned the space with breathtaking floral arrangements. These visually stunning decorations not only added elegance but also provided a unique touch by creating a captivating flower dog sculpture. This artistic element became an engaging focal point, enticing guests to interact with the installation and fostering a memorable experience.

RECEPTION AND ENTERTAINMENT

The event offered an exceptional reception experience with cocktails served from London's longest copper bar. The carefully crafted beverages provided guests with a delightful taste experience, further contributing to the event's ambiance and social atmosphere.

The blank-canvas space was ingeniously transformed into a versatile presentation hub with state-of-the-art technology and full-tech facilities. This setup allowed for seamless presentations, speeches, and performances throughout the event, ensuring smooth interactions and a memorable experience for all attendees.

Recognising the importance of inclusivity, the event warmly welcomed well-behaved dogs, enhancing the overall attendee experience. Dog treats and water bowls were thoughtfully provided, allowing furry companions to feel right at home and fostering a friendly, inclusive atmosphere.

RESULTS AND IMPACT

The event's fusion of art, technology, and philanthropy yielded outstanding results. Attendees were captivated by the impressive art exhibition and the thoughtfully curated ambiance, leading to increased donations and art work sales for the charity's cause. By the end of the night we had managed to sell out all the artwork displayed at the venue.
