Event Programming & Partnership Manager

We are seeking an Events Programming and Partnerships Manager, with a track record of putting on the best experiences across both events and classes within a member’s club, hotel or similar high-end, service-driven environment.

You will be able to design, plan and execute engaging, FOMO-inducing events that our members will love, through your vast network of contacts or by sourcing new connections.

You will have overseen or have experience in event management, planning and delivery.

You will shape the Ministry’s programme and ensure the events calendar is varied, original, and appealing (live music, talks, comedy, supper clubs, parties, and workshops, etc.).

You will have natural charm, presence and flare to be the face of the operation. This doesn’t mean stuffy or formal; we are neither of these.

You will stay up to date with current trends and have your finger on the pulse when it comes to anticipating the future of events, ensuring our programme remains compelling for all tiers of members.

You will embrace feedback with an open mind, quickly adapting and enhancing our program in response to insights gathered from our members.

With a commercially savvy mindset, you will take charge of event programming budgets, consistently seeking innovative ways to generate revenue and maximise savings.

Your keen attention to detail will guarantee that all events are meticulously organised and prepared ahead of quarterly deadlines, with high-quality copy and visuals ready for both internal and external marketing efforts.

Collaboration is key; you will work closely with the General Manager, Bar Manager, and Head Chef to ensure our food and beverage offerings consistently enhance our event experiences.

Taking the lead on decor initiatives, you will plan and execute stunning installations for key celebrations throughout the year, including Easter, Halloween, and Christmas.

You will manage relationships with our suppliers while also serving as a trusted point of contact for our members, ensuring that their event experiences leave them eager to return.

We seek a highly motivated and energetic individual with an exceptional eye for detail.

You will prioritise maintaining an organised, spotless, and aesthetically pleasing environment.

You have a capacity for hard work, as well as a natural ability to get on with people.

This is a unique and challenging opportunity for someone who wants to grow both professionally and personally here at London’s best workspace.

ABOUT US

Ministry of Sound opened in 1991 in a disused bus garage in a forgotten corner of South London. It was the first nightclub in the UK to have a 24-hour licence, didn’t serve alcohol and featured an earth-shaking sound system in a specially constructed dance box.

We went on to become the world’s largest independent record company (now owned by Sony) and stage giant dance events, including one for 50,000 people at the Millennium Dome. We were pioneers in electronic music and still have a history of taking risks, innovation, and colourful and creative marketing.

As a business, we don’t take ourselves too seriously, and like to laugh and have fun, but we have high standards, relentless attention to detail and the continuous improvement of our product, and we work hard as a team.

We hate cliché, doing things the way others do and continuously seek to differentiate our brands and products almost as a point of pride.

Thirty years later we opened The Ministry, a workspace run as a member’s club, in a 50,000 sq. ft Victorian warehouse in SE1. There’s excellent F&B, a state-of-the-art gym and fitness studio with daily classes, together with a cultural and business events programme. The design is relaxed but functional with a bar, opening windows, an outside courtyard and plenty of space to sit, relax, work and socialise – everything you wouldn’t expect to find in a standard office.

This role sits across all of our businesses.
