Membership & Meeting Rooms Sales Executive

We are looking for an exceptional Membership and Meeting Room Sales Executive, to join our dedicated and talented sales team.

You will spearhead our recruitment drive across multiple initiatives, including hot desks, club membership, corporate packages and meeting rooms. Your goal will be to achieve sales targets through proactive and strategic engagement, with the ability to construct commercially beneficial packages.

As one of the prime brand advocates and faces of the business, you will represent the brand at internal and external events to actively search for new business opportunities.

You will be confident on viewings with prospective members and clients, as well as being able to introduce and pitch The Ministry at events.

You are responsible for leading outreach and follow-up efforts and ensuring the internal CRM system is up to date.

You will handle inbound enquiries with existing and prospective customers, to qualify and close business.

New business development will be a key part of the role, including selfsourcing leads whilst proactively marketing The Ministry’s offering, utilising social media including LinkedIn and other business development channels.

Within The Ministry, you will work closely with the Event Programming and Partnerships Manager to explore membership opportunities through external and promoter-led events, and develop a retention strategy in time for membership renewals.

Additionally, you will liaise with Community Managers to ensure a smooth onboarding process, generate agreements, manage the contractual process, and ensure existing members are satisfied, maintaining a consistent end-to-end experience.

You’ll have previous experience sales, particularly focused on memberships, meeting rooms and corporate packages, and you’ll be able to do a variety of routine administrative tasks with precision.

The position demands confidence, proactivity and a passionate approach to sales.

You’ll be given the autonomy to be innovative and grow and develop corporate packages for meeting rooms or company away days.

Being open to feedback, having a capacity for hard work, a natural ability to get on with people, and a sense of humour are a must.

ABOUT US

Ministry of Sound opened in 1991 in a disused bus garage in a forgotten corner of South London. It was the first nightclub in the UK to have a 24-hour licence, didn’t serve alcohol and featured an earth-shaking sound system in a specially constructed dance box.

We went on to become the world’s largest independent record company, now with Sony, and stage giant dance events, including one for over 50,000 people at the O2 during the millennium.

We were pioneers in electronic music and still have a history of taking risks, innovation, and colourful and creative marketing.

Thirty years later we opened The Ministry, a workspace run as a member’s club, in a 50,000 sq. ft Victorian warehouse in SE1.

The design is relaxed but functional with a bar, opening windows, an outside courtyard and plenty of space to sit, relax, work and socialise – everything you wouldn’t expect to find in a standard office.

There’s great home cooked F&B, a state-of-the-art gym and fitness studio with daily classes, together with a cultural and business events programme.

As a business, we don’t take ourselves too seriously, like to laugh and have fun, but we have high standards, a relentless attention to detail and the continuous improvement of our product, and we work hard as a team.

We hate cliché, doing things the way others do and continuously seek to differentiate our brands and products almost as a point of pride.
